Affirm your faith in the Apostle’ Creed in the indigenous languages – Rt. Rev. Dzomeku

Rt. Rev. Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, the Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church, has reminded Christians of the great sacrifice  God made by coming in human form to redeem creation from eternal  damnation once and for all. He said before then, God had tried various forms to reconcile men to him but which did not work.

The Moderator said

this in a Sermon during the dedication of the Old Fadama chapel of the Global Evangelical Church  at the Agbogbloshie Yam Market in Accra. The Sermon was on the theme: ‘Proclaim Christ’s Death Until He Comes’.

He praised the Kokom

ba congregation for their persistence in transforming the environment where they have  built their new place of worship. He charged them to ensure that all the northern  congregations of the Global Evangelical Church affirm their faith in the Apostles’ Creed and other church-related practices in th

eir indigenous languages as they did during the worship.

He assured members and all Pastors of the Yam Market congregation, past and present, that their toil to bring the congregation to its current status will never be in vain.

The Accra Presbytery Chairman,  Rev. Emmanuel K. Bredzei who was also the liturgist, presented a Citation of honour on behalf of the Accra Presbytery to Rev. Israel Nkrumah and his spouse for their unwavering commitment and perseverance during the difficult early stages of the congregation and laying the foundation for their new edifice. Rev Nkrumah, on his part, praised Very Rev. Dr. E.K Tettey for his leadership and encouragement in laying the foundation for the congregation.

Rev. Mercy Mottey Kpeglah,  the host Pastor commended the Church Session

and members for giving their all for the establishment of the one-storey building in the heart of the Yam Market with their meagre incomes. She said the dedication of the chapel ushers the church into a fresh season of worship and impact. The occasion was used to launch a reading club to enhance learning among the children of the congregation.

Assisting the Moderator to dedicate the chapel were the Accra Presbytery Chairman, Rev. E.K Bredzei, Rev. David Nambu, Rev. Israel Nkrumah,  Rev. Wisdom Mawunyo Amenuvor and their Spouses. The Accra Presbytery Male Presbyter,  Ewoenam Kpodo, the Mamprobi zonal choir and officials also participated in the ceremony.

The congregants were treated to melodious Kokomba and Bassare music and dance by both adults and children of the congregation.
